Tips of the Week
Longtime subscriber Jean Craig,
a California coin shooter, offers these tips for fast and easy cleaning of dirty
and corroded coins:
Put coins in a glass
jar and cover with a liquid calcium deposit cleaner. Put the lid on and shake it
occasionally. After one half hour or longer, drain off the liquid (it is
reusable), rinse with clear water and the coins will come out super
clean.
When cleaning brass,
use a name brand of catsup, brush on and let it sit for about 20 minutes, rinse
with clear water and the items really shine.
