Editorial
Warmer temperatures are coming, and for those of you up North that’s cause for celebration. As I write this, the local kids are starting Spring Break.
For those of you along the Southern beaches, bracing for this year’s onslaught, there’s usually good pickings in the sand after the “Breakers” head home. I remember finding over a dozen earrings after a large beach volleyball tournament in Mexico one year.
After 3 weeks as Editor, I’ve now had the opportunity to speak with a number of readers, and I wish to convey my appreciation for the kind words and encouragement you have expressed. Thanks for taking the time to write, call, and email. As time progresses, I’m sure I’ll get to know more of you.
Individuals who have submitted story ideas, photographs, etc., rest assured that I am slowly working my way through the stack of manuscripts and images. I’ll be contacting some of you soon regarding the details for publication.
Please don’t be hesitant about sending material in. Particularly, interesting news items for this newsletter. The little stories in the local press are hard to track down. Even with the Internet, it’s nice to have eyes and ears beyond the mainstream media.
Happy hunting,
