Cache problems
Q: When I went to a page that I frequently read, I expected the page
to have new information. Why don't I see it?
A: Frequently accessed pages could be cached on your computer or on your
Internet Service Provider's computer. A quick way to see the newest information
on a page is to click the "Reload" or "Refresh" button
on your browser. If newer information appears, then the problem was with
your cache. See the next two questions for information on clearing and adjusting
your cache.
If the information you expect does not appear, then contact your Internet
Service Provider to see if they are caching the pages that you are accessing.
Prodigy and American Online are two Internet Service Providers who cache
frequently accessed pages. If you can't get a satisfactory answer from your
Internet Service Provider, you should try to find a friendlier Internet
Service Provider in your area.
